Crafting a space that speaks to you

We follow a structured methodology to ensure all projects are managed throughout their lifecycle in line with client expectations, and that the spaces we create deliver in terms of both practicality and aesthetics.

This crucial initial step involves consultation with clients to get a detailed understanding of what they are looking to achieve, setting clear parameters for the project as a whole.

We then undertake a detailed assessment of the physical space, which involves taking measurements and observing conditions such as soil composition, drainage, light, precipitation, exposure, microclimates, wind currents, frost pockets etc. Our findings are supplemented by the use of topographical data which further informs our understanding of the space. The results are compiled in a detailed survey, allowing us to arrive at an agreed design brief.

Design

Based on the brief, we will develop an initial layout plan, which shows how sections of the garden or landscape will be used, alongside a moodboard to indicate the stylistic direction. We then liaise with clients, taking on board any feedback to refine the plan and arrive at a design masterplan. These are accompanied by perspective drawings, a planting plan and, where appropriate, elevations, construction drawings, lighting and irrigation plans.

Develop

Work commences according to a scheduled plan, with any groundworks and hard landscaping being undertaken prior to planting. We pride ourselves on the moment in a project when the finishing touches have all been applied and we can reflect with our clients on the transformation we have achieved on their behalf.
