Our Philosophy
Just as every space is different, every good landscape and garden designer will have their own philosophy and methods of working. Here is some more information about how we approach things at Locorum&.
Understanding
Our first and most important task is to understand our clients. Through our discussions, we will look to develop a clear idea of the underlying values and qualities that guide your decision-making. The more open the dialogue, the more trust builds up between us, and the better the design. After all, we don’t just want to deliver to a brief, we want to create a space that will be truly loved.
We also believe in creating gardens and landscapes that ‘understand’ their surroundings, which means we’ll take note of any historical references and influences that contribute to the narrative of a place.
Visualisation
It is not always easy to translate ideas about what you want an outdoor space or landscape to be – or to do – into a visual plan. That’s where we come in. Having got a sense of what appeals to you and a feel for what you want to achieve, we bring it to life for you through drawings and visuals, giving you a ‘real’ picture of what you can expect.
Communication
From the very first point of engagement through to design, build and completion, every project is carried along by constant and open communication. In our experience, this ensures things progress smoothly, and as questions arise along the way, it ensures they are swiftly resolved.
