Meet Chooi-leng Tan, Garden Designer in Hampstead and Highgate

Chooi-leng Tan founded Locorum to create thoughtful gardens that connect people with nature. Based in Hampstead and Highgate, she works with clients across North London on bespoke garden and landscape design projects.

Having studied Sociology at Duke University and Industrial Design at Central St Martins, she brings a unique sensibility to her work that combines an appreciation for space, materials, structures and people.

She established the practice in 2014, after obtaining a diploma in Garden and Landscape Design, pursuing her love for horticulture and her passion for creating inspiring landscapes and gardens. By exploring the spatial elements at play and interpreting them through the mindset and ambitions of her clients, she provides them with entirely fresh and exciting perspectives.

The practice has grown over that time, and now Chooi-leng and her network of expert associates bring their wealth of talents to everything from residential garden design to landscapes.
