The Bee Cause Garden at Blenheim Palace Flower Show was created with Friends of the Earth to highlight the decline in bee populations through a bold, walk-through show garden. Visitors moved between a colourful bee-friendly side filled with planting and habitat features, and a stark contrasting side made with steel rods, with reflection pools and a central valley helping make the message immediate and easy to understand.

The new diagonal layout created better movement through the garden, with separate areas for dining and quieter use, while planting, handmade clay bricks and a small corten pond helped the garden feel settled and connected to the older property.

A large country garden design in Little Milton near Oxford, developed around the existing levels, stonework and open lawn rather than replacing them. Pleached evergreen trees help reduce the impact of the nearby road, while a sunken seating area, long planting border and seasonal planting make the middle of the garden more inviting without losing the generous space the clients wanted to keep.
